Two things we do differently.

A deposit holds the chair.
A full head of balayage blocks out four hours. When someone does not turn up, that afternoon is gone and the stylist still needs paying. A deposit between £20 and £75 on colour work is taken at booking and comes straight off the bill.

Your patch test is on file.
Colour needs a skin test at least 48 hours before, every six months. The system knows when yours was done and flags it when you book, so nobody is turned away at the door.
